Summer: Alien Adventure Overnight Camp

>> With our many magnificent camp considerations, we only schedule some of them for any given summer. Please, though, do contact us to express your interest in a particular program that does not seem to be scheduled as you would like.

The Alien Adventure is especially for the child who wants to get away for three weeks and have an out-of-this-world adventure exploring to, in, and from the UFO Capital of the World - Roswell, New Mexico. This is the perfect camp for children who are Sci-Fi enthusiasts and those want to explore & experience more in three weeks than many do in a lifetime!

Something happened in Roswell on July 3, 1947, but what it was is yet to be proven. It has, though, led the town to become a mecca for space enthusiasts from around the world (and maybe even beyond). We will enjoy the anniversary of the mysterious crash as the town celebrates its Annual UFO Festival. There is a UFO Parade down Main Street. At that event, there is an Alien Costume Contest. Our campers may come prepared having packed costumes for that special event.

While we have a carefully crafted journey compiled, the campers will be empowered with choices along the way as we travel through California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Nevada. Some of the interesting possible sites to be visited include:

There is no way that we will be able to do all of this, but it will be amazing how much we do get to do!
Our accommodations will vary night to night. Some nights we will camp out and pitch tents. Some nights we will stay in motels. Most nights we will stay in cabins.

We will make some of our healthy, conscious meals at our campsites and others we will make on our expeditions. We may enjoy roasting marshmallows, making smores, and snacking on a multitude of healthy, conscious goodies. For those of us who like to eat and like to eat well, we will always have plenty of good choices available.

We may tell some stories in our tents or by the fire - positive, uplifting, inspirational stories - not ghost stories! We do not believe in telling stories that are designed to scare and create insecurity. Camp Exploration has always been focused on nothing but the most positive of values. We are especially focused on helping campers build their self-esteem, their positive relations with others, and their understanding of their important role in the world. Even with the songs we sing – at the campsite, in the van, and sometimes even in any random place we are – we are conscious of the lyrics and messages. No matter where we are and what we are doing, Camp Exploration is fully focused on helping our campers grow to become more conscious and caring human beings.

The Alien Adventure will be an out-of-this-world three weeks away for the child who wants to do more in three weeks than many do in a lifetime. This trip is truly out-of-this-world - with all of the alien/UFO/sci-fi/NASA/astronaut/science stuff - with all of the history, beyond the space history even to include much native and western history - with all of the natural stuff of such an array of national parks and more - this is truly an out-of-this-world opportunity!
